MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321086563 A) filed by Kanad Innovations Private Limited, Nashik, Maharashtra, on Dec. 18, 2023, for 'a plier for securing a casing.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plier (100) for securing a casing is disclosed. The plier (100) comprises a first jaw (102) and a second jaw (104), wherein the first and second jaws (102, 104) are pivotally connected at a pivot point (106) and configured to move between an open position and a closed position. Furter, the first jaw (102) comprises a first gripping surface (108) facing the second jaw (104) and the second jaw (104) comprises a second gripping surface (114) facing the first jaw (102), wherein the first gripping surface (108) and the second gripping surface (114) comprising a first set of elements (110a) and a second set of elements (110b). Further, when in the closed position, the first and second gripping surfaces (108, 114) form a substantially circular cavity, wherein the substantially circular cavity is configured to receive a substantially cylindrical casing element."
