MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521130199 A) filed by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 22, 2025, for 'a pharmaceutical composition for calcium support and related methods.'

Inventor(s) include Aphale, Parth; Dokania, Shashank; and Shekhar, Himanshu.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a capsule-based calcium support composition and a process for its preparation. The composition is developed to support bone strength, skeletal development, fracture recovery, muscular stability, and physiological calcium metabolism while ensuring rapid disintegration and high gastrointestinal tolerance. The composition comprising a single liquid calcium salt, calcarea carbonica, adsorbed onto a spray-dried lactose carrier, in combination with tablet-derived triturated calcium and mineral salts including calcarea phosphorica, calcarea fluorica, silicea, and magnesium phosphoricum. The liquid adsorption step is carried out at temperatures below 40 C to preserve potency and to obtain a free flowing, uniformly impregnated powder."
