MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521129585 A) filed by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 20, 2025, for 'a pharmaceutical composition and related methods for leucoderma.'

Inventor(s) include Aphale, Parth; Dokania, Shashank; and Shekhar, Himanshu.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A homoeopathic leucoderma ointment is formulated with a base of wool fat, hard paraffin, white soft paraffin, and cetostearyl alcohol, combined with active ingredients such as hydrocotyle asiatica Q, myristica sebifera Q, coconut oil, and vitamin E acetate. The ointment is processed using a Melano-Activation Micro-Blending Technique, which enhances the distribution and interaction of active ingredients with affected skin areas. This formulation supports melanocyte activity, dermal repair, deeper tissue response, local immunomodulation, and is designed to aid in repigmentation, skin cellular renewal, and local immune stimulation, particularly for leucoderma or vitiligo patches."
