MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521129455 A) filed by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 19, 2025, for 'a pharmaceutical composition and related methods for first-aid management.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pharmaceutical first aid ointment with a base of wool fat, hard paraffin, white soft paraffin, and cetostearyl alcohol, combined with active ingredients such as arnica montana Q, calendula officinalis Q, hypericum perforatum Q, echinacea angustifolia Q. The ointment is processed using a multi-trauma rapid Dispersion Activation (MTRDA), which enhances the distribution and interaction of active ingredients with affected skin areas. This composition supports melanocyte activity, dermal repair, deeper tissue response, local immunomodulation, and is designed to aid in repigmentation, skin cellular renewal, and local immune stimulation, particularly for first aid."
