MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527074065 A) filed by Oasicare Aps, Kobenhavn, Denmark, on Aug. 4, for 'a perineum damage-reducing device and a method for reducing damage during vaginal child delivery.'
Inventor(s) include Ibsen, Ditte Marie Fog; and Sand, Julia.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A perineum damage-reducing device for reducing damage during vaginal child delivery is disclosed. It comprises a first part configured to be inserted into a female body via introitus vagina at a posterior part of introitus vagina, and a second part configured to extend outside the female body away from the posterior part of introitus vagina towards anus. The device comprises a sheet of flexible material, and at least one reinforcing element, which stabilizes said sheet and extends over both said first and said second part. The second part further comprises at least one at- tachment element at the inner surface configured for attachment to a surface of the female body. In one embodiment the first and second parts meet at a bend and ex- tend at an angle in relation to each other in a state of delivery. A method for reduc- ing damage during vaginal child delivery is also disclosed."
