MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611052780 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 25, for 'a passive cooling assembly for photovoltaic modules.'
Inventor(s) include Shiv Narayan Prajapati; and Sudhir Singh.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A passive cooling assembly for a photovoltaic module includes a rear thermal interface layer, a heat spreader plate, conductive transfer ribs, convection fins, an airflow guide housing, a phase-change cartridge, mounting brackets, and compliant spacers. Heat from the module is conducted to the spreader plate, redistributed to the ribs and fins, and dissipated by guided natural convection. The cartridge buffers transient thermal peaks. The assembly improves temperature uniformity, electrical stability, and durability without consuming auxiliary power."
