According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a self-contained, electricity-free blood typing sensing platform designed in bioinspired ornamental flower-petal layout. This novel design integrates all test zones (A, B, AB, Rh and positive and negative control) into a single, symmetrical structure that operates solely via capillary action. It simplifies the testing procedure, reduces reagent and sample consumption, and eliminates the need for any external equipment or technical assistance. The visually distinctive format facilitates immediate, intuitive interpretation of results, making it highly suitable for lay users. By offering a portable, user-friendly, and resource-efficient alternative to traditional methods, the invention enables blood group determination in settings previously inaccessible to conventional diagnostic such as private residences, rural clinics, mobile health units, and low-income healthcare centers etc."
