According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a non-metallic fan spacer (1) for a radiator fan assembly (R) of engine. The radiator fan assembly (R) comprises a radiator fan (2) adapted with the non-metallic fan spacer (1) and is mounted onto an engine water pump casing (3). The fan spacer (1) is disposed between the water pump casing (3) and the radiator fan (2) to create a clearance between the radiator fan (2) and an engine damper pulley (4). The non-metallic fan spacer (1) according to present invention is made of Nylon 46 material, and preferably without using any filler material. The non-metallic fan spacer of present invention is more compatible and easily adaptable as compared to conventional metallic fan spacer. Further, the non-metallic fan spacer has an exceptional strength, grease and mineral oil resistance/chemical resistance, lighter in weight, cost-effective, and eliminates concern regarding corrosion."
