MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053202 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 27, for 'a noise reduction structure for automotive exhaust systems.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Anshu Anand; and Dr. Sanjay Sundriyal.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A noise reduction structure for an automotive exhaust system includes an exhaust inlet section, a conditioning chamber, a perforated tuned conduit, an attenuation housing, a side branch resonant cavity, an annular acoustic medium zone, a multilayer shell assembly, isolator-supported mounting brackets, a flexible coupling interface, and a discharge tail section. Exhaust pulsations are moderated, selected frequencies are cancelled, shell vibration is damped, and structure-borne transmission is reduced, thereby lowering exhaust noise with acceptable flow resistance and durable service performance."
