MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541134230 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'a multifunctional fluorescent gold nanoparticle and its method of preparation.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Aravind Kumar Rengan; Dheeraj Dehariya; Deeksha Trivedi; Chandra Lekha Putta; Nitisha Beniwal; and Maddila Jagapathi Rao.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a multifunctional fluorescent gold nanoparticle composition comprising: a) hexagonal gold nanoparticles; b) a Nile Red dye; and c) an extract of Spinacia oleracea, wherein the Nile Red dye and the extract of Spinacia oleracea are encapsulated within the hexagonal gold nanoparticles, wherein ratio of the hexagonal gold nanoparticles to the Nile Red dye; and the extract of Spinacia oleracea are in the ratio of 1.5:1:5. The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparing the multifunctional fluorescent gold nanoparticle composition."
