MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441006319 A) filed by Ather Energy Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a multifunction switch assembly.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multifunction switch assembly (101) is disclosed herein. The assembly (101) includes a contact pad (102) comprising a plurality of pairs of contact pills (AA, BB, CC) for facilitating at least one momentary contact and at least one latching contact with a printed circuit board (104) disposed on a base (106) of the assembly. The plurality of pairs of contact pills (AA, BB, CC) are arranged in a non-coplanar manner and in a pre-defined geometric orientation on the contact pad (102). The assembly (101) includes a latching mechanism for facilitating a latching operation of at least one pair of contact pills (BB), wherein the latching mechanism is provided in a direction perpendicular to the direction of orientation of the assembly (101)."
