MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511118034 A) filed by Dhruv Sharma; and Anju Sharma, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 27, 2025, for 'a multi-zone colorimetric test strip for non-diagnostic wellness assessment, and the composition and method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multi-zone colorimetric test strip (100) for non-diagnostic wellness assessment. The strip comprising a capillary-active substrate (102) made of cellulose, nitrocellulose, paper, polymer or combinations thereof, a sample application pad (104) on the substrate pre-treated with a mild buffer to maintain pH in the range of about 6.5 to 7.5, at least four reagent regions (106) on the substrate containing sodium, potassium, hydration and iron reagent compositions respectively, hydrophobic barriers (108) on the substrate separating the reagent regions and directing sample flow from a sample-receiving region, a printed calibration region comprising at least three colour reference patches including red, green and blue patches, a laminate film (110) covering at least the reagent regions to provide mechanical protection and resistance to ambient humidity while allowing visual and optical access and an integrated QR code (112) printed on the substrate for calibration and identification."
