MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541134638 A) filed by Grass Root Advanced Systems Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'a multi-role flexible storage unit.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a multi-role flexible storage unit 100 for one or more operational and environmental applications. The storage unit 100 includes at least two elements 102 including a first cylindrical element 202A, a second cylindrical element 202B, and a Nth cylindrical element 202N configured to form a portion of a rigid outer body, and a bladder 104 attached to any of the at least two elements for storing at least one substance. The storage unit 100 enable compression/assembly of the at least two elements 102 such that within a base element, all other elements are accommodated and all other elements are extended to form the storing unit 100 to the desired height/length. The storage unit 100 is operable to expand for use, allowing efficient filling and storage of fluids. The collapsible design provides portability, reusability, and space efficiency, making the storage unit 100 suitable for different environmental, industrial, and field operations applications requiring compact and reliable containment of fluids."
