MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511131221 A) filed by Sher-E-Kashmir University Of Agricultural Sciences And Technology Of Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, on Dec. 24, 2025, for 'a multi-nutrient block (maxmilk) for dairy cattle and method of preparing thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Yasir Afzal Beigh; Abdul Majeed Ganai; Haidar Ali Ahmad; and Javid Farooq.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a product (100) of multi-nutrient block for dairy cattle. Further, the product (100) is based on locally available feed ingredients including bran, molasses, oilcake, urea, mineral mixture, flour, salt, limestone, binder, di-calcium phosphate and a feed additive cocktail. The product may comprise vitamin A and vitamin D to the mixture in quantities sufficient to augment milk productivity based on local deficiencies. Further, the product (100) may comprise a fraction of apple pomace as an additional energy source. Further, the product (100) may comprise fraction of leaf meal mixture which act as a base ingredient to enhance nutritive value and palatability. Further, product (100) is shaped and cured for a period sufficient to attain hardness for controlled licking by adult."
