MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125551 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on Dec. 12, 2025, for 'a multi-modal cnn-based automated histopathological analysis framework for assessing gut-liver crosstalk under hepatotoxic drug influence.'
Inventor(s) include Pawan Parihar; and Dr. Santosh Kumar Henge.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a multi-modal convolutional neural network-based framework for automated histopathological analysis of gut and liver tissues under hepatotoxic drug influence. The system preprocesses tissue images, extracts organ-specific features through dedicated CNN branches, and fuses these features to model gut-liver crosstalk. A classifier predicts toxicity levels and tissue damage, while an explainability module generates interpretable visualizations. The invention enhances diagnostic accuracy, reduces subjectivity, and offers a scalable tool for toxicological evaluation."
