MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441078085 A) filed by Tvs Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Oct. 15, 2024, for 'a multi-fuel switch system for a vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present subject matter relates to a vehicle (100), and more particularly, but not exclusively to a system and method for switching between multiple fuel modes of the vehicle (100). The 5 system comprises a switching device (104) being configured to enable manual switching between multiple fuel modes for the operation of the vehicle (100), and a control unit (102). The switching device (104) is configured to operate between two or more pre-set positions, the two or more pre-set positions being indicative of a selected fuel mode (302), and transmit a signal (128) indicative of the selected fuel mode (302) to a control unit. The control unit (102) 10 is configured to receive the signal (128) from the switching device (104), transmit a first output (130)to one or more prime mover (116) of the vehicle (100), and transmit a second output(132)to one or more component (114) of the vehicle (100)."
