Inventor(s) include Dr. Amit Kumar Pandey; Dr. Mamta Gurjar; Dr. Ram Kumar; Dr. Brij Nandan Shringi; and Dr. Preetesh.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a multi-epitope peptide construct (100) for development of immunogenic composition directed against Lumpy Skin Disease Virus. The construct (100) includes an adjuvant (110) positioned in close proximity to the N-terminus of the peptide construct (100) and adapted as an enhancer of immunogenic potency of the construct (100) by promoting cellular uptake by antigen-presenting cells; an immunogenic construct (130) having an amino acid sequence at least 95% identical to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID 3, positioned at the C terminus of the peptide adjuvant (110) and adapted to elicit immune response upon administration, the said immunogenic construct (130) and a Differentiating Infected from Vaccinated Animals (DIVA) component (150), positioned at the C-terminus of the chimeric peptide and adapted to serve as a detectable marker antigen for serological distinction between a naturally infected and a vaccinated animal."
