MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541093417 A) filed by Ultrahuman Healthcare Private Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Sept. 29, 2025, for 'a modular wearable device.'

Inventor(s) include Shrey, Shwetank; Kushwaha, Ayush; Puranam, Akash Raja; Kumar, Mohit; and Singhal, Vatsal.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a modular wearable electronic device for health and activity monitoring. The device comprises a central, display-less main device unit housing core electronics, including a processing subsystem, power management subsystem, physiological and motion sensors, and a user feedback subsystem, and at least one interchangeable strap removably coupled via an electromechanical connector. The interchangeable straps include non-electronic straps and smart straps providing additional sensing or functional capabilities. The device automatically identifies an attached strap and selectively enables corresponding power, communication, and processing pipelines. On-device signal processing extracts physiological features to reduce data transmission and improve power efficiency. An adaptive control system classifies user state based on inertial data and dynamically adjusts sensor duty cycles. The modular architecture enables user-configurable functionality, upgradability, and reliable physiological monitoring within a unified, power-efficient wearable platform."
