MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003815 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'a modular vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Dadheech, Gaurav; Bhardwaj, Rajat; and Dwivedi, Satyendra Dhar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A supporting member (3, 4) of a modular vehicle (200) is disclosed. The supporting member (3, 4) includes a fastening member (5), configured to facilitate fastening of the supporting member (3, 4) to a frame (100) of the vehicle (200). The supporting member (3, 4) further includes a base plate (6). The base plate (6) is coupled to the fastening member (5). The supporting member (3, 4) further includes a brace (7) coupled to the base plate (6). A second end (10) of the fastening member (5) is structured as a ball joint (8). The ball joint (8) is provided at the second end (10) of the fastening member (5) facilitates backward, forward, sideways, and rotary movement of the base plate (6), relative to the fastening member (5). Such configuration of the supporting member (3, 4) ensures that the vehicle (200) body/cabin can be rested on an uneven surface also."
