MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511114727 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 20, 2025, for 'a modular mini-shot beverage preparation and dispensing system and method for single-serve premium beverages.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a compact and modular mini-shot beverage preparation system and method designed to create premium, single-serve "mini shots" in controlled portion sizes. The system comprises a compact counter assembly, a plurality of ingredient reservoirs, and metered dispensing units configured to dispense predetermined quantities of ingredients. It further includes a mixing module for combining the dispensed ingredients into a mini-shot beverage and a temperature-control unit for heating or cooling the prepared beverage. The system provides mini serving vessels sized for single-shot portions and incorporates a recipe datastore storing predefined mini-shot recipes. A user interface enables selection of recipes and customizations, while a control module retrieves the selected recipe and operates the dispensing units, mixing module, and temperature-control unit to prepare a consistent, single-serve mini-shot beverage."
