MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421007039 A) filed by Pravin Upale; and Shynu Mathew, Pune, Maharashtra, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'a modular crate assembly for robotic automation packaging and unpackaging of components.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A crate assembly (100) comprising a pallet (110), a base cap (120), a base vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) bag (130), a crate (140), a cover (180), a hood vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) bag (160), a fastening means (150), a guide pillar (160) and a robotic gripper holder (170). Further, crate (140) comprises a base (200) and a plurality of walls (210) extending upwardly from the base (200). The crate (140) further comprises at least one support (220) arranged suitably on the base (200) and extending upwardly from the base (200), wherein, a receiving end (230) of the support (220) is configured to have at least one slot (240) to receive a component (250)."
