MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441036355 A) filed by K. Ramakrishnan College Of Engineering, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, on May 8, 2024, for 'a mobile fingerprint based attendance register system.'

The mobile fingerprint based system comprises a mobile. The mobile is configured to capture multiple images of a user's fingerprint from different angles using the smartphone's fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint template is stored within a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for enhanced security. The processor is configured to execute the captured fingerprint data to create a unique template. The memory module is provided for securely storing the fingerprint template within the smartphone's memory or a designated secure area."
