According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a method and system for delivering one-time passwords (OTPs) using missed call verification mechanism. The missed call-based one-time password (OTP) system (100) comprising a call receiver (102), an OTP manager (104), an OTP dispatcher (106), an OTP validator (108). The call receiver (102) is receiving a call from user. The OTP manager (104), is activated by call receiver (102) on receiving the call, and generates an OTP. Generated OTP is send to call receiver (102) by OTP Manager (104) after saving it. The OTP dispatcher (106), receive the OTP from the call receiver (102), and installed with a communication unit to transmit generated OTP to the user by one or more means. The OTP validator (108) validate the OTP using OTP manager (104)."
