MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441014085 A) filed by Bosch Limited; and Robert Bosch Gmbh, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'a method to identify brush type electric feed pump degradation with integrated electric pump control.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method 100 to identify brush type electric feed pump degradation with integrated electric feed pump control is described. The method 100 comprises supplying 110 the brush type electric feed pump with a constant voltage power supply, determining 120 a corresponding first pump speed for the electric feed pump that is in a new condition, determining 130 a corresponding second pump speed for the electric feed pump that is in an old condition, and determining 140 a deviation in the second pump speed for the brush type electric feed pump that is in the old condition and the first pump speed for the brush type electric feed pump that is in the new condition. The method 100 further comprises inferring 150 that the brush type electric feed pump has degraded if the deviation in the second pump speed is lesser than the first pump speed by a pre-determined threshold value."
