MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511106028 A) filed by Pranveer Singh Institute Of Technology, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'a method to fabricate t-type coupling elbow pipe intended for use in water distribution systems..'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Asif Ahmad; Dr. Raghuraj Singh Suryavanshi; Prof. Man Mohan Shukla; Dr. Pranay Wal; Dr. Harit Kumar; Dr. Brijesh Kumar Chaurasia; and Dr. Satyasundaramahapatra.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention describes a method for designing and producing a T-type coupling elbow pipe for use in water supply systems. Three pipe segments must be properly formed and linked to form a leak-proof connection that allows water to flow in two directions at a 90 angle. The first step in the process is selecting materials, such as metal or plastic, that are resistant to corrosion for drinking water. One main pipe (2) and two branch pipes (1) with elbow sections are then cut to the proper lengths. Manufacturing techniques including heat fusion and welding are used to firmly link these parts. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software facilitate the design process by allow engineers to generate intricate models for production, simulation. This technique makes it easier to adjust to different needs such size, pressure or installation limitations, while also reducing material waste and increasing accuracy. For the production of customized pipe fittings for contemporary water supply systems, the suggested technology provides an economical and practical option."
