MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123634 A) filed by Principal, Holy Cross College, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'a method of synthesising an extract for anti-neuroblastoma applications and a composition thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. P. Shanthi; and S. Jennifer.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method of synthesising an extract for anti-neuroblastoma applications, and a composition thereof, are disclosed. Said method broadly comprises steps of: drying and grinding Syzygium jambos leaves powder, to obtain a powder; mixing ethanol with the powder, followed by continuous agitation, to obtain a mixture; and filtering the mixture, to obtain an extract. The disclosed method (and/or composition) offers at least the following synergistic advantages and effects: is non-toxic; increased specificity; and/or possess strong antioxidant and pro-apoptotic properties."
