MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441067487 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Sept. 6, 2024, for 'a method of programmable thermal safety system for an aircraft.'
Inventor(s) include Tapan Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a real time method for an aircraft thermal safety system, upon formation of relative higher outlet temperature of any LRU (903] due to inappropriate heat dissipation,a real time temperature comparison with predefined database[701] along with outside temperature measured by outside temperature probe [904], automatically detects and takes remedial action of automatic air cooling ON,incase cooling switch[905] is in OFF condition, optimization in operation of cooling as per availability of aircraft power and warning display of LRU outlet temperature overshoot indication to ground crew, switching off LRU [903] for safety."
