Inventors include Dr. Rohini Balaso Shinde; and Dr. Sachin Shivaji Pujari.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: Abstract A chemical method is introduced to produce polyoxovanadate intercalated zinc chromium layered double hydroxide nanosheet thin films. The structural study of polyoxovanadate intercalated zinc chromium layered double hydroxide thin films demonstrated the formation of hexagonal Zn-Cr-LDH-POV nanohybrid. The structural study confirms the intrcalation of POV into gallery of Zn-Cr-LDH with enhancement in the basal spacing. The surface morphology of polyoxovanadate intercalated thin films shows the formation of a stacked sheet-like morphology. The diffuse reflectance UV-vis spectroscopy study reveals the visible light harvesting capability of Zn-Cr-LDH and Zn-Cr-LDH-POV nanohybrid. The synthesized thin film of Zn-Cr-LDH-POV nanohybrid will be utilizes for gas sening, biosensing, catalysis and energy storage applications.
