MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124528 A) filed by Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College For Women, Kilakarai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'a method of converting organic wastes into value-added products and a composition thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. K. M. Buvaneswari; Dr. S. Sumaya; and Dr. S. Muthumareeswari.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method of converting organic wastes into value-added products, and a composition thereof, are disclosed. Said method broadly comprises steps of: drying, milling grape seeds, to obtain a grape seeds powder; roasting and crushing fennel seeds, to obtain crushed fennel seeds; grinding cardamom and cloves, to obtain a cardamom powder and a clove powder; roasting and sifting, to obtain sifted sesame seeds; preparing a palm sugar-rose petals syrup; and blending said grape seeds powder, said crushed fennel seeds, said cardamom powder and said clove powder, tutti frutti; sesame seeds, and said palm sugar-rose petals syrup, followed by mixing, to obtain uniform granules. The disclosed method (and/or composition) offers at least the following advantages and effects: is alcohol-free; improved nutrition profile; provides strong antioxidant activity and antimicrobial potential; offers shelf-life stability; facilitates conversion of organic wastes, into value-added products; and/or facilitates transitioning, towards a circular economy."
