According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for interpreting and translating English idioms using artificial intelligence to ensure accurate, context-aware, and culturally relevant translation of idioms across languages. The system comprises idiomatic expressions in input text using a neural network and BiLSTM-CRF model trained on idiom datasets. It analyses context with a transformer-based model, generates contextual embeddings and applies Bayesian inference to determine intended meanings. These meanings are translated into a target language using a neural machine translation model trained on parallel corpora. Further, the cultural adaptation subsystem then adjusts the translation to align with local norms, using cultural databases. Where no direct equivalent exists, explanatory translations are provided. A user feedback loop enables continuous improvement of detection, disambiguation, and translation accuracy. The system's modular architecture ensures scalability to new languages, dialects, and evolving idioms."
