MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517077828 A) filed by Pi Industries Ltd., Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Aug. 14, for 'a method for the preparation of anthranilic diamides.'

Inventor(s) include Malviya, Nitin; Shah, Jigarkumar Harkishandas; Singh, Vipender; and Klausener, Alexander G. M.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a novel method for preparing the anthranilic diamides of Formula 1, its intermediates, N-oxides or salts thereof, and their intermediates, preferably compounds of Formula 3, its intermediates, N-oxides or salts thereof, in good yields on a commercial scale. Formula 1 Formula 3 wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 and n are as defined in the description."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 21, 2024, under International application No.PCT/IN2024/050290.
