MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511112971 A) filed by Maharishi Markandeshwar, Ambala, Haryana, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'a method for the formulation, development, and evaluation of a combined veterinary dosage form comprising ivermectin and rafoxanide.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a novel combined veterinary dosage form comprising Ivermectin and Rafoxanide for the treatment and prevention of internal and external parasitic infestations in animals. The invention provides a method for preparing the combined formulation by accurately weighing the active ingredients, dissolving them in a suitable mobile phase, and filtering the solution to obtain a uniform and stable dosage form. The formulation is characterized and evaluated using techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, DSC, PXRD, TEM, and particle size analysis, ensuring drug compatibility, stability, and bioavailability. The developed combined dosage form offers broad-spectrum antiparasitic activity, improved therapeutic efficacy, reduced dosing frequency, enhanced treatment compliance, and convenient administration, making it an effective and economical solution for veterinary applications."
