MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441015735 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on March 4, 2024, for 'a method for simulating the l- band free space channel.'

Inventor(s) include T. Laxmi Pradeep Kumar; and B. V. R. M. N Satya Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for simulating the L-Band Free space channel is the test simulator operating in the frequency band of 960MHz to 1215MHz can be used for 5 pulsed signals from -90dBm to +60dBm. The front-end High-power handling circuit (3) shall provide low insertion loss in interested signal path and provides high isolation in'unintended signal path. The received test signal (4) from the high-power 'handling circuit (3) is passed through Signal path selection 8. Signal combining circuit (5). As per the GUI(20) sections, 10 the received Test signal (4) shall be passed through signal strength variation simulator (7) or Multi path signal generator & Signal level controller (11) or amplitude-controlled noise signal (16) or external random pulse input (10), GUI (20) generates various Simulator Control signals (18). Thus, the input plain test bench signals (2 or 13) to the L-band free space simulator are 15 converted to simulated free space signals (13 or 2) at the output."
