MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544001877 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on Jan. 8, for 'a method for sidelink positioning of ambient iot devices.'
Inventor(s) include Abdurrahman Fouda; and Hyun-Su Cha.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus configured to: receive, from a first user equipment, a first configuration for backscattering a first reference signal to a second user equipment; receive, from the first user equipment, the first reference signal; and backscatter the first reference signal to the second user equipment based, at least partially, on the first configuration for backscattering, wherein the first reference signal is backscattered using received reference signal power."
