MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511132203 A) filed by Fiber Tec Private Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, on Dec. 26, 2025, for 'a method for producing paper pulp from an agricultural-waste residue.'

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for producing paper pulp from an agricultural-waste residue is disclosed. The method includes collecting a fibrous residue from a plurality of compressed biogas production plants. The method includes washing the fibrous residue to remove a residual methane gas and traces of a plurality of impurities and digesting the fibrous residue at least 165 degrees centigrade temperature and at least 7 kilogram per square centimetre pressure in presence of at least 6.5 percentage of caustic soda to produce the pulp. The method includes bleaching the pulp with at least 4 kilograms per ton of chlorine dioxide, at least 25 kilograms per ton of caustic soda, at least 4 kilograms per ton of oxygen, at least 9 kilograms per ton of hydrogen peroxide and subsequently washing the pulp at each bleaching step, thereby producing a bleached pulp suitable for paper manufacturing."
