MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421076404 A) filed by Punit R Fulzele; Dr. Kirti Naharwal; Dr. Anita S. Wanjari; and Miss Sukeshini Wankhede, Sewagram, Maharashtra, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'a method for preparation of herbal cosmetic.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for preparation of herbal cosmetic. The method comprises of an herbal extract such as Manjistha, Laksha, and Yastimadhu, combined with Aloe Vera gel, goat milk, and sesame oil, promoting skin wellness. The herbal serum is prepared by creating a gel with carbopol and Aloe Vera, followed by the addition of herbal oil, Tween 20, and Tween 80, with continuous stirring until a serum consistency is achieved. The herbal cream is formulated by melting E-wax, adding shea butter, stearic acid, and herbal oil, then incorporating glycerin and distilled water through continuous stirring until a creamy consistency is reached. Both formulations are free from synthetic additives, addressing consumer preferences for natural ingredients. The antioxidant activity is validated through established assays, ensuring effective protection against oxidative stress. This invention provides a safe and effective alternative to conventional skin care products, promoting healthy and radiant skin through herbal cosmeceuticals."
