Inventor(s) include Akash Bisoyi; M Ruveen; Gayathri K G; Alisha Rani Tripathy; Amit Behera; and Veera Reddy Yatham.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for the photoinduced alkynylation of alkylboronic acids and alkylboronates, using (hetero)aryl acetylenic bromides as alkynylating reagents and morpholine as an activator. Said catalyst-free reaction features a broad substrate scope, efficiently accommodating various alkylboronic acids and boronates including primary, secondary, and tertiary as well as (hetero)aryl acetylenic bromides with diverse functional groups and affording the desired internal alkynes in good to excellent yields."
