MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441067908 A) filed by Titan Company Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Sept. 9, 2024, for 'a method for marking mould.'

Inventor(s) include Karmekanandan C; Rajesh R; R Thirunavukkarasu; and Ahamed Aslam Ali M.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a method (100) of marking a mould (200). The method (100) includes ink marking, mould details (204) on a substrate (202), where the mould details (204) are marked by a marking tool. Thereafter, the inked substrate (202) is positioned on a surface of the mould (200). The substrate (202) and the mould (200) are then subjected to a vulcanization process. The vulcanization process includes heating the substrate (202) and the mould (200) to a predetermined temperature. The substrate (202) and the mould (200) are then subjected to a predetermined pressure. The substrate (202) and the mould (200) are then maintained under the predetermined pressure and temperature for a time period to imprint the mould details (204) from the substrate (202) onto the surface of the mould (200). The method (100) enables imprinting details on surface of the mould (200) to permanently mark the mould (200)."
