MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421016231 A) filed by Ravi Kamal Bali, Maharashtra, on March 7, 2024, for 'a method for locking and sealing storage container for transport and the tamper proof locked and seal container thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for sealing a transport/storage container (1) provided with a lid (2) and a Box body (3) connected by connection members (11,12) in that there are provided holes (h1,h2,h3,h4,h6,h7,h8,h9,h10) on the box body panels match with their corresponding holes (g1,g2,g3,g4,g5,g6,g7,g8,g9,g10), when the lid 2 is closed over the box body 3 and a wire L is inserted in such paired matched holes at the corner C1 of the box container and the end of the wire is again inserted into another matched pair of holes close to the same cornerC1 and passed through the hole S2 provided in a locking device 15, so that both the wire ends start winding the unwound length on the shaft 27 simultaneously and thus reducing the unwound length between them and becoming more tighter, the same locking method is repeated on the other three corners (C2,C3,C4) of the box 1, wherein the holes such as h2,h5,h8,h11 which are larger than other holes when matched with their corresponding holes g2,g5,g8,g11 on the lid 2 are sealed by the specially designed clip 18 having slight spring action due to splitted projections and folding along the foldline axis x-x, by inserting in these holes and flattening the end 17d of the clip 18 so that end 17d flush with the top surface of the lid when bent and a completely secured sealing is provided even if the hinge pin from the box hinges connections is taken out by the thief or the unauthorized user."
