MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511132957 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'a method for image scrambling to enhance image security using image partitioning and genetic algorithm processing.'
Inventor(s) include Vijay Kumar Sharma; and Bhanu Pratap Soni.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for image scrambling to enhance image security using image partitioning and genetic algorithm processing. The method comprising the steps of- receiving an input image (IINPUT) of size (256 X 256); partitioning the image into four same size (128 X 128) image blocks named B1, B2, B3 and B4; generating a new image (INEW) from these four image blocks using preferred logic; and applying a genetic algorithm to increase pixel gap between nearby pixel pairs and generate the good quality of scrambled image. The present invention enhances image data security during transmission over the internet."
