MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511123852 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'a method for evaluation of hetero-fused acylurea compounds.'

Inventor(s) include Dr Rakhi Mishra; Dr Avijit Mazumder; Ms Janvi Rohella; Shruti Varshney; and Dr Priyanka Bansal.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a method for preparation, characterization, and pharmacological evaluation of hetero-fused acylurea compounds (100) comprises synthesizing benzoyl chloride (102) by reacting benzoic acid with phosphorus pentachloride in a reaction vessel to yield a liquid reaction mass. The method also includes preparing benzoyl urea (104) by reacting the benzoyl chloride with urea. The method also includes fusing the benzoyl urea with a heterocyclic amine (106). The method also includes monitoring the progress of the reaction by thin-layer chromatography (108) using silica gel plates. The method also includes characterizing the hetero-fused acylurea derivatives (110) using analytical techniques. The method also includes evaluating the hetero-fused acylurea derivatives (112) for anticonvulsant activity. The method also includes performing computational analysis of the hetero-fused acylurea derivatives (114) using chemical structure drawing software and molecular modeling tools to assess theoretical physicochemical and pharmacokinetic properties."
