MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511026873 A) filed by Ray Polytech Private Limited, Udaipur, Rajasthan, on March 24, 2025, for 'a method for coating a thermoset protective layer and a cathode plate thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Lokesh Kumar Maheshwari.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses a method for coating a thermoset protective layer on a cathode plate is disclosed. The method includes preparing, a substrate of an aluminum alloy configured as the cathode plate for coating. In preparing, the substrate is subjected to at least one of degreasing and surface texturing. The method further includes applying, to the substrate, a first layer of an anti-oxidation material and subjecting the substrate to a targeted pre-heating treatment. The targeted pre-heating treatment is done at a first pre-determined temperature for a first time period subsequent to applying the first layer. Further, applying, to the substrate, a second layer of thermosetting powder, wherein the thermosetting powder adheres to the substrate. The method further includes subjecting, the substrate, to a targeted post-heating treatment at a second pre-determined temperature for a second time-period to form the thermoset protective layer on the substrate configured as the cathode plate."
