The process involves collecting, drying, grinding, and integrating citrus peel granules with a biopolymer matrix comprising cotton fiber, alginate, glycerin, coconut oil, and essential oils. After stabilization with calcium chloride, the mixture is spread and dried to form organic vegan citrus leather, which offers enhanced strength, flexibility, and aesthetic appeal. The resulting material is 100% biodegradable, contributing to sustainable waste 14 management practices and promoting a circular economy. This innovation aligns with global sustainability goals by offering a cruelty-free, environmentally friendly alternative suitable for diverse applications in fashion and beyond."
