Inventor(s) include Gowtham Raj Ramakrishnan; Palash Baheti; Aniruddha Atre; Ram Sharan Vedapoodi Vijayakumar; Rangarajan Venkatapathy; and Vaidyanathan Peruvamba Ramanarayanan.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present disclosure relates to method and system for evaluating micro-geometry of 5 gears. The present disclosure includes receiving a plurality of gear profiles of a gear from predefined sources. Each of the plurality of gear profiles comprise of respective peaks and valleys of predefined parameters associated with the gears. The method further comprises classifying each of the plurality of gear profiles as acceptable gear profile and non-acceptable gear profile. The classification is 10 performed based on predefined thresholds associated with the predefined parameters with respect to the peaks and valleys in each of the plurality of gear profiles, using a classification model. Thereafter, the method includes evaluating the micro-geometry of the gears based on the classification."
