MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441028327 A) filed by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, on April 5, 2024, for 'a method and system for controlling tractor braking.'
Inventor(s) include Gokila A; P Arjun; Kg Siddesh Gowda; Raghav Daga; and Pradip Wandare.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for controlling tractor braking on detecting that an autosteer function has been disengaged on the tractor. Embodiments herein disclose engaging the brake and clutch linkage, on detecting that the autosteer function has been disengaged, and an operator of the tractor is not present in the tractor, wherein the disengagement of the autosteer is detected by a change in a current being drawn by a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor."
