According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a Metallic Collapsible Crate designed for the packaging, transportation, and storage of 155mm BMCS (Bi-modular Charge System) containers, commonly used in artillery systems like Bofors, Dhanush, and Howitzer guns. This invention replaces traditional wooden crates, offering enhanced durability, weather resistance, and ease of handling. The metallic crate is designed with a reinforced base, cage-like pipe structure, and stabilizing brackets to prevent damage to containers during transit. It features a quick-release mechanism for efficient opening and closing and is made of high-quality materials resistant to environmental degradation. The collapsible design allows for easy disassembly, reducing storage space and improving logistic management. Capable of holding 25 containers, this reusable crate increases storage and transport efficiency while providing an eco-friendly alternative to wood. It is advantageous as the inventive design is easy to handle and stackable while transportation and can be reused unlike the existing wooden pallet system. It is a more environment friendly alternative and can be reused multiple times."
