MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531105357 A) filed by Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., Kolkata, West Bengal, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'a mechanism for obtaining a center spread gloss print in a printing machine.'
Inventor(s) include Ghoshal Soumya Subhra; Chatterjee Sumon; and Sen Rajiv.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mechanism for obtaining a center spread gloss print in a printing machine. The mechanism includes turning a gloss printed web (302) that is travelling towards a folding unit, from a first web path (304) to a second web path (304) via a turner bar, directing the gloss printed web (302) that is travelling horizontally in the second web path (306) vertically downwards via one or more guide rollers, re-orienting the vertically travelling gloss printed web (302) in a horizontal direction that is opposite to the folding unit and re-directing the gloss printing web (302) that is travelling away from the folding unit, towards the folding unit and from the second web path (306) to the first web path (302) via a turner bar and a roller."
