MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411029703 A) filed by Bhupinder Singh Gill; and Harshit Arora, New Delhi, on April 12, 2024, for 'a master-slave system and method for monitoring the proximity of a commnunication device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "device. By constantly monitoring the Master device's proximity, the slave card ensures its security. The Master device is locked when the slave device not found in expected range. When the slave device is found nearby again, it asks for a One Time Password to unlock the smartphone. The phone remains locked when the slave device is not in range. Notifies, vibrates and raises alarm when the slave device is out of range. User can disable the slave device monitoring for a desired period."
