MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531125399 A) filed by Birla Institute Of Technology, Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'a lubrication module device and method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Paul, Gayatri.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A lubrication module device is provided for testing the tribological performance of samples undergoing sliding reciprocation under lubricated conditions at ambient and high temperatures. The module is a fixture compatible with the Ducom TR-705 multi-function tribometer. It features a raised wall to form a lubrication chamber for flooded conditions and a sample holder cavity for a plate sample. An offset in the cavity enables multiple friction tests on a single sample, suitable for expensive materials. Extensions on the walls allow the module to be safely lifted for sample repositioning, even at high temperatures. The module can be fabricated from aluminum alloy (up to 200 C) or other materials."
