MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511119436 A) filed by Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 29, 2025, for 'a low profile dual-band mimo antenna based module.'

Inventor(s) include Arun Kumar Saurabh; Rupam Bharati; and Manoj Kumar Meshram.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention low profile dual-band MIMO antenna based module (100) comprising a substrate (101), a plurality of antenna elements (102) and a plurality of ground stubs (103). The plurality of antenna elements (102) are monopole antenna elements that are arranged symmetrically on the substrate (101) and oriented orthogonally with respect to one another and configured to operate in dual frequency bands, as each antenna element from the plurality of antenna elements (102) sends and receives signals from a plurality of directions to ensure polarization diversity. The substrate (101) is an octagon-shaped slot-loaded substrate. The plurality of ground stubs (103) are disposed between adjacent and diagonally opposite to the plurality of antenna elements (102) to reduce mutual coupling and increasing an impedance matching."
